From Atop the Spiral Staircase:
Sometimes when the first 3 horses go clear in the first round of a Grand Prix, it gets people thinking this isn’t hard…well folks, it is very hard. You’ve got to look at the talent of the horses and the skills of the riders and really know the time and effort that goes into success in the Grand Prix. Especially when at the end of the first round only 4 made the jump off. Jared, Jordan and Sami came in the ring swinging for the fences. Kyle Dewar who was 5th in the drawn order of go also made the jump off.
Jordan and Lazaro once again make it to the winner’s circle here at Fox Lea and in very good company. The family feeling is stronger than ever here at Fox Lea with confirmed regulars, husband and wife combo Kyle and Kathy Dewar as well as the Petersen’s father and son who are long time exhibitors. It was an honor to watch them all ride and place in the top 12.
Sami Senft brought out her new mount Azzaro Z an 8 year old. Azzaro is an up and comer and this was his first go at the Grand Prix and placed 12th in what was a tough class, so a congratulations is certainly in order for Miss Senft to a great start in his career!!
