$25,000 Fox Lea Farm Grand Prix

We had 25 horse rider combinations in the Grand Prix this week at Camp Fox Lea’ “Plain Brown Wrapper.” Today the win went to Jordan Coyne hailing from High Springs FL, riding her own Dutch Warmblood Lazaro (by Numero Uno from Peliana). Jordan and Lazaro also won the Grand Prix in May. Also this “Camp” series she has been 6th twice in the Grand Prix’s on Lazaro and was 2nd and 3rd earlier in the season here in Venice. She also won the Welcome stakes on Cascada during week 2.

Placing 2nd today in the Grand Prix riding his own Oldenburg, Carmargo(by Valvaro from Carieny), was German Carmargo, originally from Columbia now showing out of Loxahatchee FL. Having placed 3rd in two back-to-back Welcome Stakes here at “Camp” and 9th two weeks ago in the Grand Prix the second place ribbon is well deserved.

Our 3rd place ribbon was awarded to Gustavo Prato riding Venecia, which is a 7 year old Hanoverian (by Valentino from Rosa Roth) owned by Mr. Robert Sansone. This horse and rider combination placed 4th in the Welcome Stakes earlier this week. Gustavo also placed 3rd in the Welcome riding Carna Z which, placed 5th today in the Grand Prix.

We almost had 4 in the jump-off but Condor C and Deborah Stephens were just over the time allowed of 88 seconds. Condor C is a young up and coming horse that has done very well during the Fox Lea series.
