From Atop the Spiral Staircase, Horse Show Announcer is proud to bring you this week’s wrap up for “Camp Dress Rehearsal” as things get into full swing for 2016 here at Fox Lea.  I’d like to congratulate all of you that made it into the Champion and Reserve Champion Winners Circle for the week of July 13-16 and want to thank you for a wonderful week with some fantastic rides.

Our Hunter division had a strong showing from Ravenwood Farm and we wish them continued success next week.  In the Green Working Hunters our Champion this week is Violets Are Blue ridden and owned by Mary Eufemia and our Reserve is Snowland ridden by Mary Eufemia owned by Kristen Price.  Our Conformation Hunter Champion is Violets Are Blue ridden and owned by Mary Eufemia and our Reserve is Dakota ridden and owned by Kyle Dewar.

In the Performance Working Hunters we congratulate this weeks Champion Pacino ridden by Mary Eufemia owned by Kathryn A Morris and our Reserve is Spats ridden by Shannon Dickinson owned by Kevin Eufemia.  In the Jr/AO Hunters our Champion is Etcetera owned and ridden by Caroline Carr and our Reserve is Violets Are Blue ridden by Hana Bieling owned by Mary Eufemia.

For the Adult Amateurs, Snowland owned and ridden by Kristen Price took the title of Champion and Balou Velvet ridden by Carline Carr owned by Jason Neill was our Reserve Champion.  In the Children’s Hunters, Shades of Summer ridden by Isabella Durand owned by Kevin Eufemia is our Champion and Reserve Champion is The Good Life owned and ridden by Lexi Kozel.

Our Pre-Green Hunter Champion goes to Pappy Van Winkle ridden by Shannon Dickinson owned by Emily Mitzel and Etcetera ridden by Clair Kellner owned by Caroline Carr takes home the Reserve Champion.  For Non-Thoroughbred Hunter, The Good Life ridden by Shannon Dickinson owned by Lexi Kozal secured the Champion ribbon while Priceless ridden by Shannon Dickinson owned by Casey Delikat is our Reserve Champion.

In the Low Working Hunter Cassique ridden by Clair Kellner owned by Wendy Shell is our Champion and our Reserve is Tioga to Windward ridden by Casey Oliver owned by Amanda Smith.  For the Low Adult Hunter’s Pacino owned and ridden by Kathryn Morris took the Champion title and the Reserve is held by Pappy Van Winkle owned and ridden by Emily Mitzel.

For the Low Child Hunter, we congratulate Champion Fairy Tale Ending MF ridden by Nicolas Gamboa owned by Juan Gamboa and our Reserve Gosford Park ridden by Heather Vaxer owned by Jessica Coppola.  In the Open Working Hunter, Whisper “2” Me owned and ridden by Alyssa Orrick took home Champion while Little Bit Of Iron ridden by Grant Pennington and owned by Arris Farms Inc. secured the Reserve Champion position.

Our Shark Tooth Hunter Champion is Tioga To Windward ridden by Clair Kellner owned by Amanda Smith and our Reserve is Prime Time Emmy ridden by Sara Schneider owned by Audrey Sidell.  For the Sandcastle Hunter our Champion is Always ridden by Shannon Dickinson owned by Dr. Paula Pell and our Reserve Champion is Ferrone owned and ridden by Melanie Penner.

Small Pony Hunters Champion went to Skye Blue owned and ridden by Emma Vandenhouten and the Reserve Champion was claimed by Sir Dragon ridden by Emma Hechtman for Emily Elek-Burtard.  In the Medium and Large Pony Hunters, Mr. Popper owned and ridden by Madison Gentry claimed Champion and our Reserve went to Dance With Me ridden by Casey Oliver for Bibby Hill.

In the Green Pony Hunter Small and Medium, Picturesque Bow Tie ridden by Casey Oliver for Patti Foster took Champion and Telynau Jacobit ridden by Hana Bieling for Dogwood Creek Inc. claimed Reserve Champion.

Children’s Pony Hunter Champion this week was Better Then Good ridden by Skylar Gurtis for Laure Gurtis and our reserve was Tully Lark ridden by Emily Shoaff for Mailin Beckman.  The 2 foot Open Hunter Champion was Prime Time Emmy ridden by Sara Schneider for Audrey Sidell with Sky Blue owned and ridden by Emma Vandenhouten laying claim as Reserve Champion.

Esteemed Judge Bucky Reynolds from Warrenton, VA said “These were the best schooled ponies he’d ever seen” A compliment from such a fine judge is one to mark in the memory, and as you can see this was a very competitive week.  I expect to see many of these Champions and Reserves in the Winners Circle again.

As we enter the Equitation division, I’d like to congratulate Camryn Halley as this week’s winner of the Pessoa award.  The ASPCA Maclay winner this week is Hana Bieling, and the  Ariat National Adult Medal going to Bailey Brasington, Congratulations to you both as well.

In the Low Child Adult Equitation, our Champion title goes to Emily Mitzel and Reserve Champion to Wendy Shell.  In the Equitation 11 and under, Emma Vandenhouten takes Champion and Madison Ramsey claims Reserve Champion.

Our Equitation 12-17 Champion is Emma Dowdle and our Reserve is Sara Smith.  In the 2 foot Open Equitation Sara Schneider claimed the title of Champion and Julie Palmer the Reserve.

For our Jumpers we start off our congratulations with the 0.75M Jumpers and Champions Bellalina owned & ridden by Lara Gabrie and Siete Leagues ridden by Morgan Larkin for Daniela Drillman.  The Reserve Champion was On Top ridden by Emma Adcock for Donald Stewart.

In the 0.85M Jumpers, Doc Holiday P ridden by Hope Allen for Kevin Eufemia claims the Champion title and the Reserve Champions were Belle of the Ball owned and ridden by Sophia Bernet and Apropos ridden by Lauren Schweppe for Erica Lacher.

0.95M Jumper Champion went to Belle of the Ball owned and ridden by Sophia Bernet and the Reserve title was claimed by Apropos ridden by Lauren Schweppe owned by Erica Lacher. The winner of the Veredus La Petite Prix 0.95M won by Café Mocha owned and ridden by Sydney Gorall.

The 1.00M Jumpers Champion went to Apropos ridden by Lauren Schweppe owned by Erica Lacher and Reserve Champions were Door S owned & ridden by Sofia Jaramillo and Mind Your Business ridden by Jade Webby owned by Kristen Brown.

Our NAL Ch/Ad Low Jumper Classic was won by Larson 11 owned and ridden by Heather Villemaire and the NAL High Child Adult Jumper Classic (1.15M) Cliff II ridden by Robin Swinderman recorded the win for Meadowood Farm.  They also won the $1500 Marshall and Sterling Child Adult Jumper Classic.  Finally, winning the $2500 Future’s Jumper Classic was Classic Z and Gonzalo Garcia riding for Jennifer Gamboa.

As you can see, this is a very talented and competitive group of riders.  I look forward to watching them grow in their careers.  Earlier this week I was fortunate enough to watch Derek Petersen of Archer FL, who owns Diamant’s Legacy, win the first Welcome Stakes of Camp 2016, in addition to taking home the Blue in the Grand Prix.  As well as Kyle Dewar of Chestnut Hill Farm, when he took home the win on Dakota in the National Derby.  Congratulations to you all!!!
